CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said the change of government has indicated that political transition was to prolong in the country. Inaugurating the first meeting of the UML Province No 3 in Lalitpur on Monday, Chairman Oli said, “With the promulgation of the constitution, we were expecting the end of political transition, but the constitution was not implemented fully, thereby resulting in intricate political transition.” He claimed that it was the UML that would end transition. “Although there were some problems surfaced with neighbouring country, there was nothing wrong with the overall foreign policy of Nepal,” he argued. Moreover, leader Oli accused the ruling Nepali Congress that it was mute despite numerous problems the country was facing. Although it aimed at reaching power initially, it failed to work for the country and people, he added. Nepal-Japan relations should be further strengthened Meanwhile, in a separate programmed organized in the capital city on Monday, CPN (UML) Chairman Oli expressed the belief that Nepal-Japan relations would be further strengthened in days head. At the programme organised by the International Concern Committee on the occasion of the 60th year of the establishment of Nepal-Japan relations, Chairperson Oli stressed the need of making Nepal-Japan relations friendlier. Stating that completion of 60th anniversary of Nepal-Japan diplomatic relations was itself historical, he said, “Japan has been providing support in socio-economic and cultural development of Nepal so far. I expect such continuous support in days ahead too.”
