The final rights ceremony of Shilpa Shetty’s father Surendra Shetty who handed away the day gone by the place she could not manipulate herself from crying and hugging Akshay Kumar who had come to present support.The funeral of Surendra Shetty was held in Mumbai today at 10.30 am at Pavan Hans crematorium in Juhu, Mumbai. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who at one time dated Shilpa Shetty, in the early part of their career when both were single, made it a point to attend the funeral of the actress’ dad. Akshay Kumar is also part of a business venture with Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra. Not only Akshay Kumar, but his other ex Raveena Tandon also called on Shilpa Shetty after her father’s demise. Raveena came in along with her husband Anil Thadani. Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan as well as his sister Arpita Khan Sharma also paid a visit to Shilpa Shetty and family.
The other celebrities who were spotted at the funeral of Surendra Shetty were Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Kapoor, Vikas Kalantri, R Madhavan, Ashish Chowdhry; choreographers and reality show judges Terence Lewis and Ganesh Hegde, and producers Vashu Bhagnani, Ramesh Taurani and Krishika Lulla, fashion designer Surily Goel, among others.
