Former law minister and senior leader of CPN-Maoist Centre Dev Prasad Gurung has claimed that the activities of the Local Level Restructuring Commission members against the government’s decision is a plot to lead the nation towards uncertainties.The three major parties–Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and ruling CPN-Maoist Centre–had agreed in principle on Monday to determine the number and demarcations of the local bodies on the basis of Ilakas–the existing 927 area clusters.“The agreement of three major parties came in a bid to ensure timely elections because that was the only middle point possible among the parties,” Gurung said. Even though the differences with the Madhesi parties can be resolved easily, “foreign forces” are trying to widen.
